Liz Morris presented the findings of her research to understand the experiences of employees returning to work after maternity leave to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Maternity on 18th November 2009.
The reserach done with the support of Working Families and the NCT found that despite the strengthened maternity legislation and often generous maternity policies only a third of women find it easy to return to work after maternity leave.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Maternity (APPGM) is a cross-party group of MPs and Peers with a common interest in maternity services. It is chaired by Emily Thornbury MP.
