Liz Morris has been awarded the CIPD prize for best student at Aston Business School 09/10.
Taking the opportunity of her last maternity leave, Liz has consolidate 18 years of practical business experience with the latest academic thinking through an MSc at top ranked Aston Business School.
Whilst studying at Aston, Liz developed the idea for the Mums Going Back to Work project which involved a collaboration between Mayfield Associates, the NCT, and Working Families charity with acadmic supervision from Dr Ann Davis at Aston Business School.
The Mums Going Back to Work project has culminated in the publication of two free resource packs for parents and for employers in addition to various academic papers currently under peer review. The parents and employers resources contain new tools to support mothers returning to work after maternity leave and thier line managers as well as case studies, hints and tips.
The award will be presented in Birmingham on 30th March 2010.
